Semi-Sweet!

Like the chocolate this country is known for because of the cacao beans, the taste of victory for Team USA is sweet. Both the mens and womens teams advanced on Thursday and will play Mexico in the semis this evening, Friday.

After a hard match on Wednesday eve, Natalie rested Thursday and is ready for revenge against Mexico's Samantha Teran. Team USA women quickly swept up Venezuela Thursday morning then later in the day, toasted Guatemala 3-0. Kristen Lange stepped in as the #3 racket and has been undefeated in team play!

The mens team also played Venezuela first thing on Thursday and they made quick work of these opponents. Graham Bassett, also undefeated in team play, played the #3 racket which allowed Todd to rest his weary doubles shoulder. The men faced Colombia in the evening and after winning the match with Julian and Chris's matches, we rested Todd and headed to the steak house with Ken Stillman. Ken is the North American representative to the Federation Panamerican Squash and he bleeds Red, White and Blue!

Team USA is ready for today's contests. The order of play is 1-3-2. It should be really exciting! I wish everyone could see these athletes in action. It is unbelievable to be a part of the momentum! Our players are having a really great time, too, and some of it is caught here on film!
