1st Round Matches

July 13th 2011, the first day of the Junior Men's World Championships. US team members, Dylan Murray, Edward Columbia, Faraz Khan, Liam McClintock and TJ Dembinski begin their matches in the round of 64.

Dylan Murray vs Yannick Lindemann 11-7, 11-6, 11-3

Edward Columbia vs Tyler Osborne (9/16) 8-11, 4-11, 11-7, 7-11

Liam McClintock vs Nicholas Hopcroft (9/16) 7-11, 5-11, 9-11

TJ Dembinski vs Mahesh Mangaonkar (9/16) 1-11, 1-11, 3-11

Faraz Khan vs Martin Svec 12-10, 8-11, 7-11, 13-11, 5-11

Despite being drawn against 3 of the 9/16 seeds, the US players performed well and had some stand out performances. Dylan Murray won in three games moving onto the the round of 32. Edward Columbia played some exceptional squash before falling in a closely faught 3-1 match to Tyler Osborne. Liam McClintock and TJ Dembinski played strong opponents and fell in three straight games. Farax Khan played the longest match of the day before falling 3-2 to Martin Svec.
