Women's Team almost takes down another powerhouse

The 9th seeded U.S. Women's team delivered another strong performance losing to defending champions and 3rd seeded Egypt 2-1. Although the 2 matches the US lost were 3-0, there were matches that could have been won. Amanda at #3, stricken with a chest cold, rested the day before, and her actual recovery was less than we all expected. Once again, #1 Natalie Grainger battled through her fatigue, missed her matchballs in the 3rd, but battled back to take the 4th game to set up the deciding match in the #2 spot: Latasha against Engy Kheiralla. Some dubious calls worked against Latasha's comeback in the 3rd game. Once again, the US Women takes another one of the national powerhouses the full distance.
On the final day 12/4, the U.S. plays Ireland to determine 7th/8th final finishing spot.

Results from Egypt match:
Amanda Sobhy (World Rank #26) lost to Nour El Taleb (Wr. #35) 11-7, 11-2, 11-5

Natalie Grainger (Wr.#32) beat Raneem El Weleily (Wr.#11)
11-3, 12-10, 10-12, 11-6

Latasha Khan (Wr. #25) lost to Engy Kheiralla (Wr. #15)
11-6, 11-6, 11-9
