After some hard first round macthes the US team re-grouped and played their way to wins against Germany and Holland. Liam McClintock has been struggling with illness since arriving in Belgium. After visiting the doctor it turns out he has been playing with an ear infection! Despite all this, Liam showed true guts and determination to defeat German player Johannes Herz 3-1.TJ Dembinski played against Dutch player Guido Ploem and took a solid 2-0 lead. In the third game, after some interesting decisions from the referee's, TJ lost focus to make the match go to a fourth game. Showing a more mature game, TJ composed himself and took the macth 3-1.
Struggling to find his normal game on the glass court, Faraz Khan (US Team nutritionist!) lost in four games to a strong Belgium player Jan Van Den Herrewegan. However, with all US players still alive, spirits are high as we move onto the next round.
